Dear Flooring experts,

I installed engineering wood floor just 2 month ago, but now I found more than 100 chipping at the edge of panel. Would you please take look at the attached photo? Can I claim this issue to my installer?

Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dennis

It is common to have this happen if glued direct or nailed down. Nailed down will have a more uniform size to the chip along the edge. The damage from the nailer foot if not properly held to the planks edge while nailing could be a cause.
If glued down and the installer used a mallet to hammer in the planks tight, this can occur. If all the damage is to one side in the direction the planks were installed it can be consistent with installer damage, but an inspector will be able to tell. Call a qualified inspector in your area.
